Kate Miller-Heidke is bringing her awarded alternative pop sounds to Zoo Twilights in 2018 backed by a string quartet, with support from Odette.
Trained as a classical singer at the Queensland Conservatorium, Kate Miller-Heidke has released four studio albums, including 'O Vertigo!' which debuted at number four on the Australian album charts, 'Nightflight', which reached number two, and 'Curiouser', which reached double platinum sales in Australia and spawned the multi-platinum hits 'Last Day On Earth' and 'Caught In The Crowd'.
As well as an incredible recorded music career, Kate Miller-Heidke composed her debut opera 'The Rabbits' in 2015 which went on to win four Helpmann Awards including 'Best Score' and 'Best New Australian Work'.
Her Zoo Twilights performance will see the singer perform a set of brand new arrangements that combine her unique vocals - and the guitar shredding of Keir Nuttall - with a string quartet. There will be adaptations of well-loved orchestral pieces, as well as some surprises from her back catalogue. Audiences can also expect to get a sneak peak of some new material, as Kate Miller-Heidke road-tests songs for her next album.
A star on the rise, Odette is a singer, songwriter and self-taught pianist hailing from inner-west Sydney whose debut single 'Watch Me Read You' has just hit 1 million plays on Spotify.
