Renowned as one of the most influential electronic artists of all time as frontman for Underworld, singer-producer Karl Hyde makes his solo debut in an exclusive Vivid LIVE presentation of new album Edgeland; performed in full alongside a selection of re-imagined Underworld rarities and classics. In a twenty year career that has notched eight studio albums and enduring club anthems such as 'Born Slippy .NUXX', 'Cowgirl' and 'Rez', Hyde hit a euphoric new high as Underworld were appointed musical directors of the 2012 London Olympic Games opening ceremony - reprising an ongoing collaboration with filmmaker Danny Boyle that harkens back to 1994's cult classic, Trainspotting.

Now exploring the darkest edges of Underworld's trademark sound in a spectacular new setting, Hyde has crafted a graceful, meditative song cycle described by Academy-Award winner Anthony Minghella as 'esoteric Underworld'. A year-in-the-making with pioneering producer / guitarist Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Imogen Heap, Florence + the Machine), Edgeland sees Hyde strip away the effects in a masterful display of poetic lyricism and cinematic soundscapes - making this Vivid LIVE debut a pivotal moment in one of electronic music's great legacies.
