Multi-award winning Canadian songwriter Jon Brooks returns to Melbourne after a brief but very welcome visit in 2011. Based in Toroto, Canada, Jon is a songwriter with a poet's touch for a song that looks for the soul of things.

He sings words that need to be sung and he does it beautifully, perfectly, and with absolute finesse. "I write songs to calm those who've looked into, and seen, what is in their hearts. I also write songs to terrify those who have not." - Jon Brooks

Jon will be joined by our own Cat Canteri who has swapped the drum-sticks in The Stillsons for electric and slide guitar, putting a raw, bluesy edge to her personal and poetic songwriting. Cat will team up with Justin Bernasconi on guitar, and she returns to The Mallard on the back of the Feb 2016 launch of her new album Late at Night.

We have unearthed a little gem which will surely be one of the shows of the year!
