Sydney's hottest Northern soul band celebrates Christmas.

Sydney's finest and most authentic purveyors of 60's MEMPHIS SOUL return to the Basement on 6th December with their STAX Soul Xmas Party. Featuring special guest vocalists Sam "Soul Man" Bennett, Simon "Memphis" Meli and Sydney soul diva Rebekah Jensen to perform the hits of Otis Redding, Wilson Picket, Eddie Floyd, Sam & Dave, Aretha Franklin, Carla Thomas, Solomon Burke, Booker T & The MGs plus stacks mo' STAX.   You can expect Memphis 1967 from this explosive soul revue - but with some extra Christmas cheer and even a rare seasonal song or two. Performing for over two and a half hours, this 9 piece soul revue with the fat sounds of the E Type Horns, is a fantastic idea for a Christmas function where you can shake a tail feather or just sit and watch the electrifying energy of this great band.
