Welcome to our Trimester Six showcase performances for final year JMC Academy students. These performances are the culmination of six full trimesters of study for our students, and provide them with the freedom to express their musical vision and creativity in a performance setting. They have managed the entire process for their performances, from forming a band, to selecting the material, then planning, arranging, and rehearsing the entire set.
It has been a pleasure and a privilege observing and enabling these students to develop their craft and creative objectives over the course of their studies here. These sets of music you see here tonight are only one aspect; there is a whole wealth of music theory, culture, history, guidance and perspective that takes place behind the scenes in order to attempt to help these students become the best musicians they can be.
The wide variety of music presented by our Final Trimester students here is testament to the broad depth of skill and understanding that these students have developed for contemporary music during their studies. I have no doubt that they now have the capacity to go on and have successful careers doing what they love within the music industry.
