JERICCO

with Colibrium, Favour The Brave & Guests

From the opening bars of the juggernaut that is their debut self titled EP, it is clear that Melbourne based alternative rock outfit 'Jericco' possess a sound and wisdom that is both ancient and eclectic in its origins, whilst highly modern in its outlook.  Comprising four seasoned, hungry and highly respected players, Jericco features Brent McCormick's distinctive vocal delivery of the band's haunting lyrics, Roy Amar's wandering and highly inventive bass lines and mystical Oud (Egyptian Lute), Mr Aiden King propulsive grooves, Kristian Vidakovic wall-of-sound guitar's. Stylistically, 'Jericco' stands out from similar acts of its genre with great pride and power. The prominent Middle Eastern influence throughout the band's thundering live performances is completely authentic, and resonates at the core with their rapidly expanding fan base.

The show is a moving display of musical and technical prowess, delivering songs with passion and substance that manage to penetrate the soul. An encounter with 'Jericco' is designed to test the individual to the point of self reflection, by traversing a musical landscape that is treacherous, powerful, accessible and serene all at once.

Such is the force of this ever intensifying myth, 'Jericco' has to date shared the stage with well established luminaries such as Mammal, Dead Letter Circus, Karnivool, The Eternal and The Getaway Plan, as well as headlining many of their own sold out shows across this wide brown land of ours. Every punter carries with them an unforgettable experience, and they've been spreading the word nationwide after every show.

With two magnificent and highly critically acclaimed independently released EPs under their collective belts, Jericco are poised to take the next big step in their already illustrious career. They released their debut studio album with production wunderkind Forrester Savell (Karnivool, The Butterfly Effect, Birds of Tokyo, Dead Letter Circus) in 2012. An extensive Australian tour with Dead Letter Circus plus several more headlining dates across the nation saw that year out, 2013 brought extensive touring and 2014 sees their new album coming to fruition.
