Trumpet maestro James Morrison returns to the Twilight at Taronga presented by ANZ stage for another year of live jazz under the stars with his James Morrison Big Band, set against the stunning backdrop of Sydney harbour.

The name "James Morrison" is known throughout the world for his sheer brilliance as a jazz musician and an all-round entertainer, and year on year the Twilight at Taronga presented by ANZ mainstay dazzles as he leads his band and adoring audiences on a journey through sunset in a night of jazz, dancing and laughter.

James Morrison's career to date has been diverse and not exactly typical of most jazz musicians. He recorded Jazz Meets the Symphony with the London Symphony Orchestra, performed concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Opera House in London, performed personally for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (twice), and has also been invited to perform specially for US Presidents Bush, Clinton and Obama, not to mention having played alongside George Benson, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Ray Brown and Wynton Marsalis (to name a few).

Back home in Australia, James Morrison composed and performed the fanfare for the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in Sydney, and has been formally recognized for his service to the arts in Australia by being appointed a Member The Order of Australia, with particular mention of his contribution to music education.
