Guitarist Illya Szwec (Continental Blues Party, Declan Kelly, Wolverines, Wendy Saddington) leads this all-star Blues, Soul and Roots celebration of Illya's new album. Tonight's band also includes Clayton Doley, Rob Woolf, Vito Portolesi and more, some of the best qualified musicians in the country to lay down a primal deep groove that traverses blues, R&B, New Orleans funk, 60s soul, 50s rock'n'roll, swamp rock and soulful jazz.

ILLYA SZWEC has been one of the most in-demand guitarists in Sydney for many years. His own band Groove Depot is an object lesson in deep groove therapy, and he's been heard for the past seven years with Robert (Soul Kind of Feeling) Susz's Continental Blues Party. His many other projects include live and studio work with Declan Kelly, numerous gigs with piano legend Don Hopkins, studio work with the Wolverines on their Golden Guitar winning album, multiple Chain-award winning work with Kate Meehan, and studio work with blues greats Wendy Saddington, Margaret Roadknight, Sally King and Kate Dunbar. He was guitarist for Bridie and the Boogie Kings, and has played with Eugene Hideaway Bridges, Jim Conway, Tina Harrod, Katie Noonan, the Foreday Riders and dozens more. He's been seen on stage all over Australia, including the Wangaratta, Peats Ridge, Great Southern Blues and Bellingen festivals.
