Melbourne-based rapper Allday, Canberra heavyweights Hands Like Houses, Tasmanian singer-songwriter Asta and Windang surf-rockers Hockey Dad will be joined by Nicole Millar, Ocean Grove, Saviour, Totally Unicorn, Hannahband and more for an electrifying nine hours on Midland Oval this February.

Allday came to the spotlight in 2014 following the success of his debut album Startup Cult, and has since been busy selling out national tours, supporting Lily Allen and having countless festival appearances. Recently singles "Monster Truck" and "Sides" have been dropped in anticipation of his upcoming second album.

Following the success of their third album Dissonants, Hands Like Houses have spent the last year touring extensively throughout Australia, the UK and the US. Tracks "I Am", "New Romantics" and "Colourblind" has seen the album reach #7 on the ARIA charts.

Tasmanian songstress Asta has come far since winning Triple J Unearthed High in 2012 with the track "My Heart Is On Fire". Last year she released "Dynamite" featuring Allday before embarking on a national tour in March.

Surf rock duo Hockey Dad join HyperFest after their sellout show at Jack Rabbit Slims in October. Their signature pop sound on hits "Can't Have Them" and "Seaweed" are fundamental for a Perth summer's day.

City of Swan Mayor, Mick Wainwright, said HyperFest provided many opportunities for youth development.

"The Hyper Team of volunteers, under the direction of City staff, should be commended for the great job they do in bringing this event to fruition and it is great to see their success in continuing to build the festival," he said.

Midland/Guildford Ward Councillor, Mark Elliott, said local bands would also be given an opportunity to shine at HyperFest.

"Last year we had over 150 local bands and 40 DJs apply to secure a spot on the HyperFest line-up, and this year we expect numbers to rise," he said.

"We're thrilled to announce that locals Lilt, Verge Collection, Rag N Bone, Premiss, Alex the Kid, Jacob Diamond are joining our amazing top order on the day. Excitingly, applications are still open to join the huge second line-up announcement, due in January."

Local DJs will also be on the decks all day in the silent disco, with DJ applications open now.

HyperFest will take over Midland Oval on Saturday 18 February from 12am to 9pm.

City of Swan's HyperFest, presented by Drug Aware, is an all-ages (12+) drug, smoke and alcohol free event that would not be possible without the support of so many organisations, including Drug Aware, Healthway, RAC, Lotterywest, Midland Gate Shopping Centre, and Moshtix.
