Dreaming of ways to keep active kids entertained these school holidays? Bring them to Barangaroo for Creative Planet - a brand new workshop program for ages 6 to 16 years* that teaches techniques of parkour, gymnastics and acrobatics.

For six days only, leading physical theatre company Legs On The Wall will transform the Cutaway at Barangaroo Reserve into a pop-up jungle gym. Participants will leap, jump and vault in a safe and supportive environment guided by some of Australia's best acrobats, breakdancers and parkour artists.

The two-hour workshop also explores creative skills with Legs On The Wall's Artistic Director Joshua Thomson. Using crash mats, ropes and more, participants work together to build a world from their imaginations - turning objects into a dynamic obstacle course.

No acrobatic skill is required - Creative Planet is an inclusive workshop where all skill levels are welcome. With each workshop limited to small numbers, booking early is recommended to avoid disappointment.

*Participants will be placed into age and skill-appropriate groups.

SESSION STRUCTURE

Each workshop is 2 hours long. Sessions start promptly as advertised. Please arrive 15 mins early for registration and waiver signing. There will be a 10-15 min performance followed by a facilitated workshop where participants will be placed into four groups of six. Each group of six will have its own facilitator who will take them through creative exercises and movement based activities. If you are late, you may miss the warm up. Latecomers will be required to complete a warm up before being admitted to the workshop at a suitable time.

SUPERVISION

Parental supervision during the session is welcomed but is not compulsory. There will be a viewing area for parents to watch from. Alternatively parents can feel free to enjoy Barangaroo Reserve, enjoy cafes in the southern dining precinct or book into an Aboriginal cultural tour with one of our guides.

RELEASE FORM

Parents or guardians will be required to sign a release form on the day. View a copy in advance

PHOTOGRAPHY

Barangaroo may be filming and taking photographs at this workshop. The images will be used by the Barangaroo Delivery Authority, Legs On The Wall and our licensees for promotional and editorial purposes in all media. If you do not wish your image to be used, please make yourself known to a member of staff at the workshop. You are welcome to take photographs of your own children in the last 10 mins of the workshop and share them with us using #barangaroo or @BarangarooSydney

Coffee, ice cream and light refreshments are available for purchase at the venue.
