HIP HOP BIG BLOCK is the newest brand in Aussie hip hop events and will be warming up the winter of Canberra locals this August. In its inaugural year, Hip Hop Big Block features only the freshest and best artists in Australian Hip-Hop; bringing with it THUNDAMENTALS, MANTRA, DIALECTRIX, SIETTA D’OPUS & ROSHAMBO.

Blue Mountains hip-hop three piece THUNDAMENTALS have carved their way to the top of the Australian hip-hop scene over the last four years, a journey full of electrifying live shows punctuated by sweat drenched smiling fans. With three critically acclaimed release's including the ARIA chart busting Forevolution under their belt already, Thundamentals are redefining what hip-hop can be through groove laden, big beat tunes that keep the fans coming in droves.

MANTRA has been blazing a trail through the Australian music scene since 2005. With captivating flow and intelligent lyrics it is no surprise Mantra is being elevated to the status of one of Australia's most talented MC's. With a strong history in hip-hop groups Chasm, Urthboy and Diafrix; Mantra is set to continue his trail blazing ways long into his solo career.

DIALECTRIX is a revered and prolific Hip Hop lyricist hailing from Sydney Australia. Since releasing his first solo album 'Cycles of survival' in 2008 Dialectrix has toured nationally and received media exposure from Rage, MTV, Channel V, NOVA, Triple J radio and T.V, as well as a slew of community radio stations nationwide. Promising a dope set of infectiously catchy tunes Dialectrix will set the stage alight.

Darwin duo SIETTA have been cutting their teeth over the course of 18 months on the road, supporting the live soul of Lowrider to the bass heavy electronics of Mark Pritchard, as well as festivals, showcases and headline shows across Australia. They began to establish themselves as an act that shines brightly alongside live bands or in an electronic setting and will continue to shine brightly at Hip Hop Big Block.
