Event Details

Violence against women is a major problem around the world and Hayley Jensen (2016 Southern Stars Award Winner and Australian Idol Finalist) felt compelled to do something about it! She invited her dear friend Kirsty Lee Akers (ARIA #1 Australian Country Artist and Golden Guitar Winner) to join her in breaking the silence on this topic and raise further awareness about an issue that effects all of us on some level. This evening will be an intimate collection of meaningful live music.

Also joining in the occasion will be the amazing talents of Simone Waddell and exciting young duo NeillyRich. The evening will also see the premiere of Hayley's new single "Young Years" which is a song that carries a strong meaning connected to the theme of the event.

Recent global prevalence figures indicate that about 1 in 3 (almost 35%) of women worldwide have experienced violence in their lifetime, and sadly, the problem is just as serious in our beautiful country where, over a 12 month period, on average, one woman is killed every week as a result of intimate partner violence. It is also the principle cause of homelessness for women and their children & the leading contributor to death, disability and ill-health in Australian women aged 15-44.

The artists would love your support on this great occasion, with a contribution to applicable charities to be made from event profits.
