What could be more perfect than Grizzly Bear at Melbourne Zoo?

Brooklyn's lauded foursome Grizzly Bear are making their highly anticipated return to Australia with an open-air concert at Zoo Twilights.

Grizzly Bear have assured themselves as one of the most interesting and enduring artists from the late noughties indie scene. They are returning to the music scene after five-year hiatus, armed with their esteemed 2017 full length album 'Painted Ruins'.

'Painted Ruins' is the fifth album from the group, which has received widespread critical praise including NPR Music and Rolling Stone who called the music "spellbinding", with PASTE Magazine declaring, "Grizzly Bear made an album for the times: something wild and alive, bucking assumptions and beaming colour, their best yet."

'Painted Ruins' follows the 2012 release 'Shields', which received critical and commercial breakthrough. Named the #1 Album of the Year by Apple iTunes, it earned the band Pitchfork's Best New Music and four star Rolling Stone reviews and led to performances on TV greats Colbert, Fallon, Letterman and Ellen.

Fronted by vocalist Ed Droste, joined with Daniel Rossen on guitar and keyboard, Chris Taylor on bass and Christopher Bear on drums, Grizzly Bear have honed their live sets opening for Radiohead off the back of their debut album, have sold out shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York City and the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
