With very special guest Kutcha Edwards

International touring singer songwriter Glenn Skuthorpe returns from the 'Taking It Home' Tour (SA, NSW, QLD, VIC) rolling into town with his Band for the 'See My World' album launch show at the Spotted Mallard on April 6. For the tour grande finale longtime friend Kutcha Edwards, who has recently release his fourth solo album 'Beneath the Surface', will share the stage with Glenn in what promises to be a very special night of original music from these two Brothers.

Find the crossroads of blues roots country and folk and you will discover Nhunggabarra, Kooma, Muruwari man and international touring singer songwriter Glenn Skuthorpe with his guitar, mandolin, banjo and harmonicas in hand.

With four highly-regarded albums to his name and music featured in documentaries such as John Pilger's Utopia (No More Whispering), Glenn Skuthorpe and his Band return from the 'Taking It Home Tour' to launch self-produced fifth independent album 'See My World' at the Spotted Mallard on April 6.

The new album is evocative of the wide-open road with its folk-rock sound infused with country and blues and undertones of mid-sixties and early seventies dirty melodic rock. It demands the listener lean in closer, get on their feet and come along for the ride. glennskuthorpe.com

'Pulsing, thought-provoking contemporary roots music from a man who clearly cares deeply about his country and his craft.' Michael Park, The International Americana Music Show (USA)

'See My World is a fittingly accomplished, fourteen-track-long (including one remix) distillation of Skuthorpe's considerable talents and innate connection to the sounds and expanses of this broad, burnt land.' The Music (AUS)

'I've followed Glenn's song writing for a while now. There's a woody texture and earthiness in his voice and a flick in his guitar playing that appeals to me and an observation in his lyric that makes him an artist worth considering. Highly recommended.' David Bridie (AUS)

Kutcha Edwards was born on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River at Balranald, New South Wales, of the Mutti Mutti people and is among the many of the Stolen Generations. He has worked through his music, to tell people about himself and share his unique journey, one that is also the journey of all Australians. What Kutcha shares with people is a connection, a belonging. His music and stories are the songs of his journey, his people's journey. And this is his gift - to connect with and inspire others.

"Music is not what I do, it is who I am. My songs may be contemporary but they are more than 40,000 years old. They come through me from my ancestors and my people...and they tell our stories."

'Kutcha Edwards' new, fourth album is a beauty, full of his full-bodied singing, unusually stated ethical ruminations and Brendan Gallagher's transparent, innovative production. The slow tempos and slowly expanding arrangements allow us to really appreciate Kutcha's voice and message.' Lucky Oceans, Daily Planet, ABC Radio National (AUS)
