Dreamy synth pop duo GL have had a mammoth week. Alongside rave reviews, their debut album, Touch released last Friday debuted at Number 4 on the iTunes Electronic Charts. Following the release of Touch, out now on Midnight Feature/Plastic World via Inertia Music, today the Melbourne duo announce a nationalTouch Australian Tour, kicking off this September.

Addicted to that live performance adrenaline, Touch is an album best listened to live. With Ella's soaring, lush vocals, and Graeme's creative beats, GL are renowned for their amazing live shows. Touch Australian Tour will add another dimension to their live setup, this time including drums to accentuate the pulsating beats that they are known for. Ella tells i-D, "we want our music to make people move at a show, that's really enjoyable for us to see."

Fresh off the back of their national tour with Client Liaison, the cosmic boogie duo are ready to share their infectiously energetic debut album to a live audience. Touch is a mature take on electronic funk and soul that finds the perfect balance between honouring the originators of the sound and sounding as fresh and adventurous as anything around, all the while remaining committed to the underlying principles of song craft.

The recurring theme on the album Touch is body contact: sweating silhouettes and music that releases a physical reaction. "It is very much dance music, but also about physical love", Ella says.

Consisting of 14 compact and dynamic tracks, Touch is an exhilarating master class in visceral electro-boogie, party-time soul and gritty analogue funk. It demonstrates the duo's dexterity at crafting not only infectious and heart breaking dance floor-minded pop gems, in tracks such as 'Indigo', 'When Your Love Was Mine', 'Hallucinate' and 'Melanie', but also exploratory, largely instrumental interludes such as 'Contact', 'Honey' and 'Stars', making the album flow as a gripping linear journey.

At once ebullient, melancholic, amorous, sweet, tempestuous, sexy, nocturnal, heartbroken and carefree, Touch never loses site of being consistently inviting, stylish and danceable.
