Too Much & Revolver Upstairs follow up their last belting collab featuring Ben UFO (Hessle - UK) with this massive massive double header featuring London Nightslugger & producer of anthemic and all out world beating 'WUT', the man you know as Girl U.Know.It's.True, now joined (in the wake of Nguzunguzu's cancelled tour) by gamechanging producer x DJ Jon Convex (Instra:mental / Convex Industries / UK). Girl UNIT or Girl U. Know. It's. True is 25 year old Philip Gamble. Girl UNIT has been a key artist in the all-conquering Night Slugs label, home to the likes of Bok Bok, L-Vis 1990 and Mosca (just to name a few). His sound takes influences from ghettotek, juke, radio ready hip-hop and R&B. In 2010 Gamble released his genre bending, truly anthemic 'Wut' single, which still gets played today in clubs all around the world. His most recent E.P (Club Rez) came out only a couple of months ago with each track sounding as if it has been slowly dipped into luminescent sizurrrp. Girl UNIT has been one guy that we have been chasing for years and he is now finally going to be playing at a Too Much in the Melbourne institution Revolver Upstairs! Whoop, whoop!

Damon Kirkham, aka Jon Convex, has a most unique ability to continually re-shape sounds, time and time again. Gripped by music from a young age, he first began producing when he was 17, completely intrigued by analogue machines. Many years and many metamorphoses later, his passion and talents are demonstrated through his successes as 1/2 of Instra:mental (with Al Green, aka Boddika), whose body of work as a production duo and label A&R's is truly beyond conventional description. Jon Convex stands as an exciting embodiment of the state of electronic music today: no longer confined by genres whatsoe­­ver, producers can allow their creativity to take over with no boundaries. Putting aside hype, and surpassing all expectati­ons, each Convex production is as individual and surprising as the last.
