george are bringing their iconic Indie Rock hits to the Twilight at Taronga presented by ANZ stage in 2017 for a special reunion performance with all original band members, supported by prolific singer-songwriter Felix Riebl.

Celebrating their 21st Birthday in 2017, george recently played their first show in over a decade with brother and sister powerhouse Katie Noonan and Tyrone Noonan, Geoff Green, Paulie Bromley and Nick Stewart reuniting. The quintet formed in Brisbane in 1996 and quickly forged a dedicated following across the nation with their captivating live performances. Their first album Polyserena (2002) debuted at #1 on the ARIA Chart, achieving Double Platinum sales and clocking up 6 ARIA nominations before winning Best Breakthrough Artist - Album. Their stunning follow upUnity (2004) was certified Gold, and saw the band take the record on the road before going on hiatus in 2005, with their last show on Sydney Opera House's forecourt.

As the energetic, charismatic, and quietly spoken frontman of Melbourne powerhouse The Cat Empire, Felix Rieblhas carved a reputation as a gifted song-smith and performer. Since his late teens, he's spun the magic of his musical vision around the globe, firmly establishing himself as one of Australia's most passionate, durable, and genuinely engaging musical ambassadors. Returning with a second solo album Paper Doors in September 2016, Riebl defies any kind of reductive genre label - he draws from a very broad cross-section of musical influences.

It is clear that Jack Carty's trademark honesty and hopefulness will never desert him, the Australian multi-instrumentalist weaves together driving rhythms and dreamy countermelodies to build beautiful narratives into song. Bringing tracks from his latest album Home State to life on the Twilight stage, Jack Carty's opening set is one not to be missed.
