The Freeplay Independent Games Festival explores the creative and artistic side of games and digital culture.

With its 2010 theme of 'Play is Everywhere', Freeplay will look at the fundamental elements of creativity, how they intersect with learning and play, on how that can be integrated into the development process, and on how other media and forms look at play and their creative processes.

In Experimedia, players will be able to get their hands on locally developed independent games, chat one-on-one with their creators, see game-inspired artwork, play board-games, and hear from experienced developers about how they approach game creation

In the library's conference space, Freeplay's paid program will deliver a diverse and challenging range of lectures, panels, and workshops covering programming, design, art, and independent biz-dev.
