After gracing our shores in December to perform with superstars Elton John and Ed Sheeran, Irish troubadour Foy Vance returns to Australia this September on The Wild Swan World Tour.

Foy will take in Perth's Mojo Bar on Saturday 10th September and Melbourne's Corner Hotel on Monday 12th September, followed by a very special show at Sydney music institution The Basement on Wednesday 14th September, with dinner and show packages available. Oxford Art Factory in Sydney will follow on Thursday 15th September, with the tour to conclude at Brisbane's The Zoo on Saturday 17th September.

The Wild Swan, Foy's anticipated third studio album and the first to be released on close friend and collaborator Ed Sheeran's Gingerbread Man Records, will drop on 13th May. Foy's unique brand of rousing soul-folk is showcased across twelve stunning tracks, which nod to musical heroes as diverse as Noam Chomsky to Ziggy Stardust and WB Yeats. Recorded at Nashville's Blackbird Studios with Jacquire King (Tom Waits) in the producer's chair, The Wild Swan is Foy's opus, a product of the rich musical traditions of America's South, which informed and shaped his early musical horizons.

'She Burns' is the stunning lead single from The Wild Swan, a song powerful in it's restraint and simplicity, evocative of Bruce Springsteen's 'Tunnel Of Love'. US television star Lucy Hale features in the gorgeous black and white music video that infuses elements of old Hollywood, shot in LA and directed by Gus Black (Gary Clarke Jr., Deftones, Eels). "Every once in a while you'll hear a song that just stops you in your tracks", said Lucy Hale. "It's now become one of my favourite songs of all time... I love the lyrics. He's incredible".

Foy is thrilled to return to Australia for his most extensive headline tour to date, with a fresh new album under his belt. "This is my second official World Tour and it's the second time that it will start Down Under", said Foy. "No better place to begin. The weather, the food, and the people are quite unlike any other. Looking forward to a schooner already."

An accomplished live performer, Foy converted a new legion of fans when he last played for Australian audiences in support of both Elton John and Ed Sheeran last year, along with sold out headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne. "...the sophisticated folk tunes from his guitar (turned) the thousands-plus stadium into an intimate affair", said The Music.

Foy's immense talent has seen him lend his powerful vocals to UK electro-pop outfit Rudimental's global smash hit 'Never Let You Go', which he also wrote. His songs have been featured in US hit dramas Grey's Anatomy, House, Vampire Diaries and more, and he has shared the stage with some of music's biggest stars, from Bonnie Raitt and Ed Sheeran to Michael Kiwanuka, Snow Patrol and Elton John.

Joining Foy on his Australian dates will be Byron Bay neo-folk-soul artist Kyle Lionhart, who has played stages at Splendour In The Grass and Byron Bay Blues Festival, and last month released new single 'Compromise', a taster to the sophomore EP to come later this year.

For a priceless live music experience, don't miss the enchanting Foy Vance when he hits the road this September.
