Four Lions Album Launch (Free Entry)
Four Lions are Bendigo based Americana-Alt County rock band, this is their one and only Melbourne show launching their 2nd album "Vahland". Four Lions are a must see for fans of Ryan Adams, REM, The Replacements, Neil Young, Paul Kelly & Bruce Springsteen."Vahland" was recorded on a 8-track reel to reel and mixed on a two track reel to reel with Alex Bennett (C.W Stoneking) at his Sound Recordings Studio in Central Victoria.
"Four Lions" formed in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia in late 2014. "Four Lions" took their name from a drinking fountain in their hometown which was designed by prolific architect William Vahland. The Vahland designed drinking fountain consisted of "Four Lions" around it's base before until it being discontinued from public use in 1906.
Four Lions are fronted by songwriter Shann Lions who plays the harp/guitar and sings who is ably complimented by Keith "Lighting" Macqueen on the lead guitar/backing vocals. The thudding low end of Four Lions is provided Greg Perry on the bass and Gav "Shooter" Moncrieff on the drums.
Four Lions released their debut album "Charing Cross" in October 2015 on their own independent label Verse Chorus Verse. Charing Cross gained airplay over community radio stations throughout Australia and USA since it's release for the three singles from the album "Twenty Seven", "Brittle" and "Charing Cross". Twenty Seven, Brittle and Charing Cross made #10, #7 , #5 on the Triple J Unearthed Roots Charts respectively.
After many mini-tours Four Lions bunkered down and recorded their second album "Vahland" on a 8-track reel to reel with Alex Bennett (C.W Stoneking) at his Sound Recordings Studio in Central Victoria.
