After a few years lending her voice, supporting international and local artists (Arrested Development, Jazz legend Roy Ayers, Lotek, etc), playing at major festivals such as Glastonbury and Falls, Melbourne soul singer and songwriter, FLORELIE ESCANO, is now venturing out on her own and is holding a record launch party for her well-crafted, well-written original Soul tunes, "Moody Blues" and "The Liberating Kind"..

Inspired by Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder & James Brown, Florelie's voice and songwriting abilities absolutely delivers! What's in store for you is a live preview of her original Funk & Soul tunes with an amazing collective of talented, professional Melbourne musicians. 

A very special guest flying down for this event is the uber talented HAYDEN MAURIRERE (an ex-contestant of this year's X FACTOR). He will be performing his soulful r&b originals and some familiar covers armed with only his guitar. 

Another special guest is the mighty May Johnston of Deep Street Soul. She will do a duet with Florelie covering an amazing James Brown tune. 

Spinning records for you on the night will be Melbourne's well-loved soul DJ Chris Gill (courtesy of Northside Records) and UK Selecta, Saul Knight. If you love your Funk & Soul, do not miss this show!
