Fis & Rob Thorne bring their immersive live show to Melbourne. Combining Rob’s Taonga puoro (native Maori instruments) with Fis’s experimental production brilliance, creates an abstract widescreen soundscape with extreme low end pressure like no other.
Modern Hypnosis and Howler present an Australian debut live show from Kiwi duo Fis and Rob Thorne - a completely unique sonic project straddling electronica and Taonga puoro. In a kind of live-triptych, the pair will bookend their duo performance with solo sets - taking us from raw, unamplified acoustics to the full intensity of Fis' sound system sculpting. Completing the programme with DJ support will be Germany's PYUR, a recent favourite of Berlin Atonal, joining us fresh from her live appearance with Fis at Dark Mofo.
