EARTHSHAKER 2012. + guests. FIREBALLS....feeling the earth move since 1989. Last year, FIREBALLS promoted their self released album "Hellrider" with a successful "Psychotic music for neurotic people"nation-wide tour.

Then, after a two date assault with German psycho kings, Mad Sin in November, FIREBALLS found themselves in Holland braving a second winter in December, doing an exclusive showcase gig at Eindhovens coveted high octane music festival, Speedfest, which saw them rub shoulders with the likes of Monster Magnet, Reverend Horton Heat, Discharge, The Dwarves as well as their heroes, 60's garage punk legends, The Sonics. "That was a buzz" Drummer/vocalist Eddie Fury  continues." The Sonics were in the hotel foyer trying to steal our drinks ...laughs. Great bunch of guys that have inspired us....Never too old to kick ass."

The FIREBALLS' Speedfest set climaxed with a controversial double bass smashing at the end of their encore. This action set the underground You tube grapevine tweaking, tongues wagging and utter disbelief that the Australians had such little respect for what is seen as the holy grail of instruments.

"You can keep it" said Joe Phantom, about the Dutch winter, a man more accustomed to the sands of Spain as his port of call "The problem with kids today is they think that bass is slung around your neck...That's not a bass, mate, that's a fucking guitar. Real bass shakes your balls. I wanna see dudes work out how to get power from an acoustic instrument when it's between Eddie Fury and two Marshall stacks...flat out or nothing!"
