Returning again after unprecedented success in 2011, the 2012 Festival of Performing Arts - Lorne offers a rare chance to experience music, dance, street performers, circus and spoken word with a stunning coastal backdrop.

With over 2,000 people expected to come and bathe in the culture of life by the sea, the town of Lorne is showcasing a schedule of events that will provide something for everyone.

Opening night will set the festival mood with a high energy cabaret show designed to provide a taste of what's in store for the days to come. Weekend highlights include Mikelangelo & The Black Sea Gentlemen, Captain Frodo (Circus Oz, La Soiree), Tom Flanagan (Circus Oz, Tom Tom Crew), Cosmo Cosmolino, Jessamae St.James plus many more. Festival Weekend Pass
Includes all performances and workshops. Please arrive at each performance promptly, as once the capacity is reached, doors will close. Seating is not guaranteed and will be run on a 'first come first served basis'. The Weekend pass excludes 'dinner & show' ticketed events and Friday night cabaret. The Family pass includes two adults and two children. Children are considered those aged 3-16 yrs. Children 2 years and under are free. Earlybird offer expires on 31 July.

Friday Night Cabaret
The Opening night Cabaret will set the festival mood with a high energy show designed to provide a taste of what's in store for the days to come.  Doors open at 8pm. Show starts at 8:30pm. Canapes will be served between 8-8:30pm and are included. Ticket includes a pass to the Opening Night party from 10:30pm.

QDOS Arts Dinner & Captain Frodo's Way of the Showman
Saturday 8 September 2012

Norwegian-born Captain Frodo (La Soiree, Circus Oz) conjures details of his Carnivalesque upbringing with limb-dislocating contortions, music, ticks and engaging narrations of his fantastical existence where reality seems to blur with pure magic. A Wood-fired pizza and a glass of Yering Station wine or Little Creatures beer is included in the ticket price. Dinner served from 6:30-8pm. Show from 8-9pm.

Lorne Beach Pavilion - Cosmo Cosmolino - Dinner & Show
Saturday 8 September
Exquisite tango, chamber bijoux, romantic song and gypsy treats from this luscious quintet of strings with accordion from Melbourne. Enjoy Cosmo Cosmolino with a two course dinner at Lorne's best located restaurant, the Lorne Beach Pavilion. Ticket price excludes wine. Doors open at 6pm for a 6:30pm show. Dinner served during show.

Important details:
The Festival Hub is located at Mantra Lorne and is open Friday 7 September midday-late, Saturday 8 September 10am-late and Sunday 9 September 10-5pm. All Moshtix tickets for Weekend Passes must be redeemed for wristband. Ticket redemption for wristbands will be available at the Lorne Visitor Centre from Monday 3 September - Friday 7 September midday. Lorne Visitor Centre is open 10am-5pm.Ticket redemption will then be available at the Festival Hub at Mantra Lorne from Sat 7 September midday- Sunday 9 September.  All shows will be sold individually on the door.

Friday night Cabaret and Dinner and Show tickets do not require wristbands.

18+ shows include Friday night Cabaret and Jessamae St James Is All Tied Up at the Grand Pacific Hotel.

Wristbands will be provided to the ticket holder named on the Moshtix ticket only. Group bookings will be responsible for their own distribution of wristbands.
