Over the past four years, the Fat As Butter Festival has grown into one of the well FATTEST musical and cultural events in Newcastle, and indeed the country.

This year, were set exceed all expectations with a line up of local and international acts that is sure to send your musical taste buds into a fat frenzy!

Following the announcement last week of the first two acts, The Living End and Naughty By Nature, were now proud to announce the second round of artists for 2011.

In the past two years, Empire Of The Sun has grown from a one of Australias best musical talents to one of the most exciting acts in the international music arena. This year, the group has headlined Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, and Governors Island in New York, and has attracted the attention of celebrity guests from Usher to Katy Perry.  This year, they return to Oz with a brand new, never before seen live show to lead the charge in what is a huge array of local talent featured on the Fat As Butter line up. From the rocking sounds of Sparkadia and British India, to indie sensations Cloud Control and The Jezabels, to the hip hop beats of the legendary The Herd, the rising talents of Jonathan Boulet, and, of course, all-time favourites The Living End, this Aussie contingent is simply fat-as. 

All the way from the U.S. of A, international RnB heavyweight, Flo Rida, joins fellow country-men Naughty By Nature, to add the perfect spice of the red white and blue to the Fat As Butter menu.  And bringing the sounds of the UK clubs to Fat As Butter mix is world-famous DJ, Sinden.  Having remixed some of the biggest names in music today including Basement Jaxx, Chromeo and Mark Ronson, his addition to the line up is sure to get the crowds jumping!

The crew at Fat As Butter has been working hard in jazzing up this years festival playground to make sure you have the best Fat As Butter time ever!  This year therell be a bigger entrance point, larger viewing grounds, more bars, more festivities and of course, loads more music!
