While in the midst of writing their new album, Sydney soul punks Fait Accompli were invited earlier in the year to test out a brand new room at King Sounds Studios in Sydney. The guys spent a day recording a cover they had been playing live at some of their recent shows. The point of the exercise was just to see how the room sounded, there was no pressure.  

The recording ended up sounding alot better than everyone had anticipated. So the guys decided "what the heck lets release it as a single". Why not? A few months later and now there's an East Coast tour on the horizon to celebrate the release of Fait Accompli's own electrified punk version of the M.I.A classic 'Born Free'.  

"Although we are living in a time where some of our freedoms are currently being held to ransom, people are defying the odds by standing up for their rights everyday. This is a big reason why the war cry of 'I was Born Free' resonates with us not only as a band but as people. Born Free is a call to arms, a message to unite us all, to embrace our collective right to be free all around the world".   The guys are looking forward to catching up with friends, while also getting a chance to showcase some brand new tracks.
