Berry Gets its Own Festival - Line-up, Films and "Playgrounds" Children's Area Announced

An adventure for the senses awaits you at Fairgrounds Festival: a carnival of music and discovery, just a little south of Sydney.

Showcasing world -class music, delicious regional cuisine and boutique beer & wine, Fairgrounds Festival will take place Saturday 5th December in the picturesque township of Berry, situated NSW's stunning South Coast region.

Just minutes drive from breathtaking beaches and quaint countryside, the Fairgrounds site will be alive with activities for all ages: camping, classic field games, food and produce markets, a record fair and dedicated children's entertainment for the little ones. There's even a pool for those eager to make a splash.

The bill for the inaugural event showcases the best talent from at home and across the globe, including L.A crooner Father John Misty performing his divine indie -pop over the stunning Berry sunset and NYC electronic duo RATATAT closing their night with their spectacular audiovisual show. In between will be MEG MAC's powerhouse R&B, Unknown Mortal Orchestra's intoxicating psych, Royal Headache's gritty soul -punk and much, much more.

Fairgrounds will bring a weekend of music and discovery close to home - just two hours' drive or a leisurely coastal bus or train ride from Sydney. A shuttle bus service will be operating from Central Station on Saturday 5th December. For details, click here.

Escape to a quaint cottage in the Kangaroo Valley or relax in an ocean-side apartment in Gerringong, Kiama or Gerroa - either way, it's a short drive from all the action. Fairgrounds is a family-friendly festival and children 12 years and Under are admitted free! Kids can roam through a hay bale maze, wander into a custom built planetarium and let their imaginations run wild at story-time. There will also be a feast of delicious yummies at kids' food stalls. Child care is also available, so whether parents plan on being at the front for Ratatat or luxuriating with some fine wine and local delicacies, there will be plenty to keep the kids entertained.

And of course, the festival is called "Fairgrounds" for a reason. An array of classic field games will be keep spirits high and good times flowing. Just a few of the things you'll be able to do include rallying the team and hopping for your life in sack races, getting into a knot at Twister or wielding your cutlery to glory in the egg and spoon race.

Oh and did we mention there's a pool? That's right, if incredible music, field games, food and wine bars and other amusements still leave you hankering for something more, pop on the cozzie and dive in!

  • Children aged 12-17 years of age must be accompanied by a ticket-holding parent or legal guardian. Children aged under 12 must have a valid ticket and can attend for free with a ticket-holding parent or legal guardian. Please Note: The Camping Grounds is strictly over 18s only.
  • If you are over 18 and would like to access licensed areas or purchase alcohol onsite you will be asked to present a legal form of identification at the event entry or to access licensed areas, such as a current Australian driver's license (international driver's licenses won't be accepted), State Approved 'Proof Of Age' card or a valid Passport.
  • FESTIVAL ENTRY TICKETS DO NOT INCLUDE CAMPING. 
  • For attendees who don't want to miss a beat, Fairgrounds is offering strictly limited on-site camping through www.rentatent.com.au.

The production of The Event is subject to final council approval, extreme weather conditions, or any other act that will render Fairgrounds impossible to produce. If the Event is cancelled because of an act of war, terrorism, the forces of nature, an act of god or by any other event outside of the control of Fairgrounds, no refund shall be provided. If the event is cancelled for any other reason, any decision to refund a ticket shall be solely at Fairgrounds absolute discretion. Any refund information for the Event will be sent to Handsome Tours Mailing List members, Moshtix ticket purchasers and posted in the 'Upcoming Tours' section of handsometours.com, on fairgrounds.com.au & on the Fairgrounds Moshtix event page when applicable.
