"Ya gotta be hot to play real cool" - Mel Blanc Espirito... the Monday night Kings of the original Basement. Influenced by Salsa, Rock, Jazz & R&B, pumping it in a packed Basement where Latin meets groove! Noel Elmowy (Keys) and Christopher Soulos (Bass) are proud to present Australia's foremost Latin Jazz ensemble. Espirito's world of Latin percussion spotlights Brazilian rap artist Buddha, vocalist Toni Alliayalis and guest guitarist Simon Olsen (Watussi). They have supported and toured with Dizzy Gillespie Allstars at the Entertainment centre, performed at Manly Jazzfest, Kyeemagh Jazzfest, Bondi Samba Carnival, Darling Harbour Latin Fest and Festival of Sydney and their members are associated and have performed with the likes of Al Jarreau, Count Basie, Chad Wackermann, (Frank Zappa), Wynton Marsalis, James Morrison, Ray Charles, Tommy Emmanuel and Germaine Jackson.
