Sydney songwriter Emma Davis will take her new band and charmingly honest stage show on the road in June/July in to celebrate the first taste of her sophomore record.

Having built a shared studio in a local furniture joinery, the songwriter spent the last year and a half making noise, collecting recordings and growing a palette of sounds that has laid the foundations for this next piece of work.

Teaming up with highly respected producer and musician Greg J Walker (Paul Kelly, Tiny Ruins, Machine Translations), she then re-located to a farm in Gippsland where the pair worked together to bring her demos to life.

The outcome is a delicately crafted, beautifully textured record - a mature and thoughtful follow-up that sees Emma's stirring lyrical details and intricate guitar work now carefully woven together with playful beats, found sounds and soft, melancholic synth.

In June, Emma will share the first glimpse of the upcoming record with her new single, the trumpet-specked, dreamy ode to anxiety, 'Getting Better'.
