Drunk Mums (Album Launch)
Melbourne's premier garage rock and roll delinquents Drunk Mums have announced that they'll be heading out on tour in celebration of their forthcoming sophomore album Gone Troppo, out September 4 via Pissfart Records. They are also excited to release the first single from the album titled 'Pub On My Own'.
Gone Troppo is the first full length release for the band since their 2012 self titled album, and shows a more dynamic side to the band, drawing influences from CCR through to 77 - style punk. The album was recorded and mixed by Nick Hoare (ESC, Absolute Boys, Scotdrakula) across two locations in Melbourne. One was out by a truck stop in Reservoir, and the other was at Brunswick's Smooch Records.
The announcement of Gone Troppo caps off a huge eighteen months for the band, which has included the release of singles 'Plastic' and 'Nanganator' as well as performances at Paradise Music Festival, Blurst of Times and Boogie Festival.
To celebrate the release of the album, Drunk Mums are embarking on a mammoth 15-date tour that will take them through five states over three months.
