Melburnian math-punkers DriveTime Commute unleash their proverbial sonic boom like a hurtling rusted jet plane with debut EP 'BAG OF SNAKES.'

After more than 2 years spent refining the very art of remaining unrefined, 'Bag of Snakes' is 13 minutes of filthy punk guitars, metal-influenced levels of technicality, and vocals with more personality than a randy Bob Hawke. Engineered and mixed by Julian Renzo of 'Jack the Stripper' (Melbourne) and mastered by Jaakko Virtalahde (Finland), 'Bag of Snakes' is both awful and audible; both horrible and hi-fi.

'BAG OF SNAKES' marshals and expands the success of previous singles SIR SEIZURE, GENGHIS KHAN'T and SHARKITECT, all of which received air play on Triple J's Short.Fast.Loud, with two publicised on Triple J Unearthed compilation features, including 'The Shape of Punk to Come.'

Comprised of a Scotsman, a dripping wet skinsman, two brothers and a young Australian countryman, DriveTime Commute is a dysfunctional marriage of varied influences and cultures. The scale of their live shows has continued to escalate, exemplified by support slots for both national and international touring acts including 'Norma Jean' (USA), 'Chelsea Grin' (USA), 'Make Them Suffer' (Perth), and 'Jack the Stripper' (Melbourne).

In support of the release, Victorian and New South Wales are set firmly in their sights. DriveTime Commute continue to grow and to corrode - unleashed upon the innocent ears of Australia's east coast, and soon, beyond...
