smalltown presents: Dixon, Guy Gerber & Huxley performing at The Prince, Friday 22nd February.

Through the summer months, smalltown retreats into the coolest intimate spaces in Melbourne to deliver our favourite artists up-close & personal. Sometimes bigger is not better and from December to march smalltown will be presenting you like-minded souls with some tasteful house artists in limited capacity events. We can't be more pleased to announce that for the next smalltown we will be hosting three of House music's most talked about artists: Germany's legendary Dixon, Israel's music ambassador Guy Gerber and promising UK House cat, Huxley

DIXON (Innervisions, Berlin)
When Dixon entered the Berlin club circuit in the early 90's, he established his name on the strength of DJing; by making people dance throughout a set that lasts the whole night, on a very regular basis. Dixon's sincere dedication to his profession and his residencies then and now are obviously schooled on the stylistic and technical versatility and skills, attitude, stamina and experience based on countless nights honing ways to direct a loyal crowd on the dance floor at will.

Guy Gerber (IL)
Guy Gerber has been stirring up electronic audiences with his anthem releases and live shows for quite some time. After countless productions for major labels, dance ensembles and electro rock bands, which earned him many awards and praises, Guy was ready for a major hit.
His universally embraced single on Bedrock Records, Stoppage Time, became the stand out anthem of the year at the likes of Cocoon at Amnesia, and DC 10
While touring with his live show, Guy was busy working on two other projects, which played a major roll in his life:
His album; Late Bloomers, which demonstrates Guy's vast knowledge of the history of music and Guy's self imprint, Supplement Facts, now a favourite of some of the biggest DJs around.
An addict to his studio work, Guy continues to work on his follow up album and new releases, while still touring the biggest clubs and festivals in the world.

Huxley (UK)
Hard earned respect from your peers is a rare commodity but Huxley, aka Michael Dodman, has it in spades. Since his late teens he's been producing, seeing initial underground success as a garage producer before his sound partly mutated towards a deeper, house- based sound in the past.
Since then, Huxley has delivered releases for an enviable roster of labels and has stayed true to his robust, bass-led strain of house music that reflects his formative interests in UK and US Garage, with critics, punters and peers lapping up each release and remix.
