When Dixon entered the Berlin club circuit in the early 90's, he established his name on the strength of djing. In such a context, there is no way to learn quicker how to become a very good dj than by making people dance throughout a set that lasts the whole night, on a very regular basis. If you can't hold the crowd for hours then, you fall through. It is learning by doing, the hard way. Dixon did not only learn very quickly, he loved every moment of it. Starting out low, slow, unfolding the flow, working towards a peak, then working towards another, turning up, turning down, to find the exact point from which to swing moods, to find the perfect way to end what should be a lasting experience. His residencies then and now are obviously schooled on the stylistic and technical versatility and skills, attitude, stamina and experience based on countless nights honing ways to direct a loyal crowd on the dance floor at will. Hours spent to find and select the right music to achieve the levels of intensity necessary, hours spent to plan the imminent night's structure and proceedings, and then hours spent putting it into action. Dixon was always more than happy to spend this much time on his nights, because he takes his profession seriously. It is exactly what matters most to him. He has always been and he always will be a dj first. This is the mission he embarked on, no end in sight.

Not ones to follow the rules, Kristan Beyer and Frank Wiedemann have forged a path and a sound that not only suits themselves but a hoard of fans too. Co-founder of the prestigious Innervisions alongside Dixon, the duo work harmoniously, concentrating on their strengths with Beyer's in the dj booth and Wiedemann taking full control of their explosive live sets. Certified deep-house masters, they pull from influences in numerous genres, never limiting their inspiration. Delivering a rich vein of worldly soundscapes and deep elegance, from early releases 'Rej' and 'Where We At' to their excellent 'fabric42' mix, me is a world class act who will find themselves very soon in our backyard.

/ DELANO SMITH /

Born in Chicago and raised on Detroit's West side, Delano Smith represents one of the last of a rare group of Detroit's first house DJs. Perhaps it was the juvenile absorption of the sights and sounds around him during his first 5 years in the Windy City coupled with his experience during the new DJ craze of his high school years in Detroit that influenced Delano the most or maybe it is simply that enigmatic link between music people in Chicago and Detroit, known to insiders as the I94 Connection. Regardless of the reason for his natural ear for the deep and groovy, Delano can lay claim to a legacy that most Detroit jocks cannot. When performing outside of his native city, Delano's unique sets highlight the fact that his skills were forged in an era before the rigid lines of house and techno genres appeared.
