DESTROY MUSIC 2015
HELLIONS
CAPSIZE (USA) and '68 (USA)
and guests
Destroy All Lines, Killyourstereo.com and triple j's Short.Fast.Loud. are proud to present the 2015 instalment of the Destroy Music Tour!
Boasting a mix of homegrown and international talent that's sure to pack out rooms this winter, the line-up features Australian heavy-hitters, HELLIONS, along with first time visitors CAPSIZE and the frenzied rock n roll attack of '68.
HELLIONS have already had a monster 2015, with their second UNFD release, Indian Summer, landing at #19 on the ARIA album charts, led by the disc's boisterous lead-off track, "Hellions," which has clocked up 150,000 hits on YouTube and counting. Embarking on their first headline run in March, the group were greeted with a number of sold out shows, as well as recently joining their friends in Hands Like Houses and Enter Shikari on The Mindsweep Tour, taking in large-scale venues across the country. Internationally, HELLIONS were recently nominated for a Kerrang! Award in the UK and will be making their first trip across the pond this October, joining Northlane, Volumes and The Acacia Strain on the "Node European Tour," as well as releasing Indian Summer's second single, "Nottingham," through Channel V on June 17th.
Hailing from the scenic surrounds of San Diego, California, CAPSIZE have wasted little time in establishing themselves as a dominating live presence, touring their native US with a who's who of heavy acts, including Defeater, Being As An Ocean and Counterparts. Already firm favourites in the UK, mainland Europe and Japan, Destroy Music marks the group's first time down under, where fans will be treated to cuts from the band's debut full-length, The Angst In My Veins, which peaked at #13 on Billboard's new artist chart! Having already delivered standout performances across major US festival stages this year, it won't be long before CAPSIZE is a household name in the heavy music community.
Rounding out this red hot bill is Georgian duo, '68, who are of course fronted by former Norma Jean and The Chariot screamer, Josh Scogin. As familiar as Australian audiences may be with the vocalist's previous work, '68 is an entirely different beast, with Scogin and his partner in crime, drummer Michael McClellan, injecting their discordant, chaotic brand of noise with an authentic rock n roll edge. It's a sound they can proudly call their own and one that's already been battled-tested across hundreds of shows, including a recent US stint with Australian titans, The Amity Affliction.
