Participants will gain an understanding of key visual perception principles, insight and practical experience in the methods and tools for data visualization, as well as a guide to the use of visualizations for storytelling. The event will suit a range of audiences interested in getting more impact out of visual analytics. The event is open to participants from a broad range of backgrounds, from industry and academia to media and communicators.

This year's line-up of teachers includes renowned medical illustrator and creative director of the Broad Institute MIT Bang Wong, science leader at CSIRO Sean O'Donoghue and biomedical animator Christopher Hammang.
