Dan Kelly has spent the last few years since his epic AMP Award shortlisted 'Dan Kelly's Dream' touring and travelling about the world, writing songs and is currently in the process of completing his fourth album, slated for release early in the new year -  a mix tape about a journey up the east coast of Australia to the semi-mythical paradise of Northern New South Wales, with the odd sojourn to Berlin, Greece and Brooklyn. 

The first tune to be released from Dan's forthcoming album is 'Melbourne vs Sydney'. A strangely anthemic meditation on the never ending culture wars between those two cities. Dan takes the role of a neutral mystic in the song, absolving sins while happily goading the musical combatants on. The song features his stellar Dream Band (Indra Adams, Dave Williams, Joe Cope, Madeleine and Memphis Kelly) and is mixed by London based ber mixer Aaron Cupples (Drones, Civil Civic,Spiritualized, Snowman)

To launch the single, Dan Kelly and His Dream band will be doing two special Melbourne Vs Sydney shows in September.
