Brisbane's Cub Scouts are hitting the road to round out 2012, celebrating the release of their debut EP "Told You So".

Featuring singles "Evie", the Queensland Music Awards Song of the Year "Do You Hear" and the latest triple j favourite, "Told You So", the EP is a reflection of a band stepping into the spotlight, having spent nearly twelve months on the road, supporting the likes of Loon Lake, Ball Park Music and Pluto Jonze, building anticipation for their debut.

The band's headline shows will hit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and feature special guest Phebe Starr.

"Told You So" sees the band exploring new territory, with their trademark keyboards and Tim Nelson's pure vocals attacking a more introspective, yet still catchy as hell track. The video clip has been well received both online and on TV with cameos from 90s icons like Bubble-O Bill, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Rubix Cubes and Hubba Bubba.

The band has also released a hilarious tour diary outlining their time on the road with Loon Lake, perhaps a signpost of what's to come when the band hit the road on their own. From chasing sheep to Outback Chips, conjunctivitis and cute dogs, Cub Scouts show what a rock n roll lifestyle looks like... 2012 indie style.
