Opera is only ever a few misunderstandings away from a happy ending. It is the crucial little deceptions and misconceptions that provide all the moments of drama and passion that we so love. Let's go back a time when you couldn't clarify the situation with an SMS... Opera Sessions brings you the latest in our ongoing series of themed opera concerts in Melbourne bars and restaurants.
'Crossed Wires' features some of the nuttiest and most confusing moments in opera; from cross-dressing to mistaken identity to missed opportunities, from Mozart to Verdi to Puccini. Crossed wires have long been popular operatic plot devices, and the vehicles for some of the art form's most sublime music. Join baritone Angus Grant, sopranos Vanessa West and Sian Prior and an international tenor on Saturday November 10th and/or Sunday November 11th (two shows) at The Toff in Town for an afternoon of tears and laughter, disguises and deceptions. Tickets $20.00 + BF or $15.00 + BF Concession on sale from Moshtix - phone: 1300 GET TIX (438 849), on-line: www.moshtix.com.au or Moshtix outlets including Polyester (City) / $22.00 or $17.00 Concession on door.
