Welcome the New Year on Cockatoo Island! Cockatoo Island is one of the best locations in Sydney to watch the spectacular, world-famous New Year's Eve fireworks.

Cockatoo Island is ideally located to enjoy the fireworks on both the Harbour Bridge (4 km away) and the western fireworks barge, which is located immediately in front of the island's eastern apron. If that's not enticing enough, the "Harbour of Light" boat parade passes in front of the island between 10pm and 11pm.

After the fireworks, just put your head down in your tent. You don't have to deal with the crowds, endure a long walk home or get caught up in traffic. You will have a hassle-free New Year's Eve in a family friendly environment! Enjoy a leisurely ferry ride home on New Year's Day or turn your stay into a real camping holiday and stay longer on Cockatoo Island.

The NYE Experience on Cockatoo Island
In 2012/13 the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust is offering:
- one and two night packages, arriving either 30 or 31 December and departing 1 January 2013
- three camping equipment package levels (site only, site with tent and accessories, glamping tents)
- improved island catering
- ice for sale on the island
- no alcohol can be brought onto the island, bar facilities will be operating

Two bedroom Glamping Package

( Two 3m x 3m safari bow tents with centre sitting area) includes: Site, tent, 4 camp beds with linen, towels provided, 4 x chairs, an esky and 2 lanterns. Located on waterfront (northern apron).

(3m x 3m safari bow tent) includes: Site, tent, 2 camp beds with linen, towels provided, 2x sun lounges, an esky and a lantern.

TENTS COMFORTABLY SLEEP 3 ADULTS OR 2 ADULTS AND 2 CHILDREN, IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR OWN TENT & IT EXCEEDS THE ALLOCATED AREA YOU MUST HIRE MULTIPLE CAMP SITES.

ALL PERSONS UNDER 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. INFANTS UNDER ONE YEAR FREE.

Check in Time:
People who have purchased the one night ticket can check in from the 31st December from 9am.
People who have purchased the two night ticket can check in from 30th December from midday.

Check Out Time:
New Years Day 12noon
