Including songs from the Aretha Franklin Songbook and more. The Basement, one of Australia's most iconic venues located in the harbour city of Sydney has announced acclaimed entertainer Christine Anu is returning for her annual December concert.

The theme of this year's concert is Island Christmas, and the one-night-only show will be held on Saturday 9 December 2017.

Over 2 hours, Christine will take the audience on a journey of music, memories and conversation. You will hear Christmas favourites from her ARIA Award nominated Christmas album Island Christmas, as well as, songs from her acclaimed music career. Songs will include Aretha Franklin classics, Sunshine on a Rainy Day, Party and the unofficial national anthem Island Home, which was selected by the National Film and Sound Archives to be inducted into the Sounds of Australia Registry.

There may even be the ever-present possibility of a surprised guest.

Note it is not possible to join ticket holders together across ticket groups (meaning A Reserve ticket holders cannot sit with B Reserve etc).
