A very special night of dazzling rock and fusion inspired guitar instrumentals from Sydney's own master of the strings. Chris Brooks is in town and determined to wow!
One of Australia's leading exponents of instrumental rock guitar, Chris Brooks has wowed fans across the globe with his acclaimed solo albums "The Master Plan", and "The Axis of All Things", as well as projects recorded with members of Black Sabbath, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dio, LORD & John Farnham. Having shipped thousands of units overseas to places as far and wide as the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Scandinavia, Europe and more, the nimble fingered Aussie turns his sights to home turf with a special live show.
Growing up on a solid diet of equal parts 80s shred, 90s fusion, baroque suites and radio pop rock, Brooks certainly has the chops to tear your head off, but the musicality to know not to do it until the song requires it. Respected by fellow guitarists and guitar fans alike for his memorable song writing and melodic phrasing as much as his creative solos, Brooks brings a sense of control and restraint just when it is right. But when it's time to burn, he BUUURRRRRNNNS!
Backed by a powerful line-up featuring the bass mastery of Joe Manton, the progressive drumming style of Reece Kirby and the textural support of guitarist Evan Wilkins, Chris will be performing a range of songs from his back catalogue, as well as a few surprises and guest appearances. Do not miss this unique and exciting performance!
