With the recent release of the album “I am jimmy Kyle” Chasing Ghosts is gearing up to hit the road once again with a bunch of mates to reconnect with fans showcasing a new sophomore album!

Chasing Ghosts is a project of passion, built over more than 15 years, driven by a compulsion for storytelling and the connection with an audience that's become a family. Jimmy Kyle has been an active frontman and iconic personality in Australia's punk/hardcore scene, playing hundreds of shows in various incarnations across our dramatic continent. In 2011 it became whole when Jimmy recorded "Confessions From a Phone Booth", the first Chasing Ghosts album, which pulled personal stories into a new format for Jimmy and his audience. Being a largely acoustic experience, the record enabled Jimmy to explore ideas to their full depths, without the constraints of genre that his scene may have expected.

It worked.

Over the next three years of touring the record, Chasing Ghosts performed in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, the UK and mainland Europe. Thousands of people found something special in the songs and Chasing Ghosts became something to bond with deeply. Jimmy's passionate baritone and instinctive songsmanship can make your hairs stand on end when first hearing a chorus that you know you will listen to for many decades to come.
Jimmy spent the first 6 months of 2016 trekking to the summit of a mountainous second album. Working closely with producer Andrew Neufeld (of the band Comeback Kid) more rock elements have been embraced, making this a grandly dynamic record.

There are delicate ballads, including collaborations with old touring friends D At Sea and Millie Tizzard, and there are crushing rock moments, including a guest appearance by Dream On Dreamer's Marcel Gadacz. The stakes have been raised sonically and the song quality has also been pushed further. (The as yet untitled album) is as exciting and ground breaking as it is natural. Expect a new live format to implement a new aggrandised Chasing Ghosts.
