The Rhythm Hut is excited to welcome Chase Makai back to Gosford for an intimate and chilled solo show.

Well known as the guitarist for Nahko and Medicine for the People, Chase brings an edgy rock vibe to the Medicine sound, with his electrified 12-string acoustic guitar. Having learned guitar in Australia from age 12, Nahko met Makai in Hawaii where he led a band called Twisted Tree. They soon formed a solid friendship based around their mutual love of music, surfing and skating, and Makai jumped on board the Medicine for the People train in 2011. They have been touring the world ever since.

Chase is back visiting family in Australia and we are lucky enough for him to pop into the Hut for an exclusive show, backed by his family as band!

Supporting Chase is Newcastle artist Jason Lowe. Lowe has spent a decade earning a name for himself among the singer-songwriter scene of Australia and the USA and Canada, calling the latter home for 2 years.

In the tradition of the 1970's singer-songwriters that he so deeply reveres he is a troubadour in the truest sense, touring constantly, frequenting the folk clubs, coffee houses and the growing house concert scene in Australia and the Northern hemisphere.

His performances are intimate, a euphoric experience to be remembered, embodying an emotional, poetic and musical power likening him to such greats as Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and Neil Young.

His astounding abilities both as a composer and performer, as well as his prodigious skills on the lap slide guitar and acoustic guitars, vocals and harmonica, are mesmerising and awe inspiring.

Delicious home style cooked dinners and desserts are available for purchase. The Rhythm Hut is fully licensed with assorted beers, wines and ciders, including locally made Six String and Murray's Crafti beers. Under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
