Thursday 19th January 2017 9am - 5pm Build a spirit house 5+ - Fun 1 day creative workshop for kids to learn basic ceramics skills. - In this 1 day school holiday workshop, kids will spend the day creating a beautiful Southeast Asian spirit house. Spirit houses are small decorative ceramic houses commonly placed outside homes and businesses to honour the guardians of the land. Experienced artist and tutor Hayley West, will teach the children ceramic slab techniques to build their house. They will then learn sgraffito, a ceramic decorative technique using scratching and layers of colour to create designs on the outside of the house Kids will love getting their hands dirty while learning ceramic techniques and gaining valuable making skills in this fun full day holiday workshop. Suitable for children 5–8 years old Maximum 10 children Bring: Lunch, morning and afternoon tea and a water bottle Wear: Old clothes
