Republic Bar, Hobart, TAS

It was nine years ago that Freo boy - come International troubadour Carus Thompson recorded his career defining double live record Acoustic At The Norfolk. At the time he was virtually unknown outside of W.A and the album's release, coupled with the explosion of the Australian roots scene launched him onto the national touring circuit alongside fellow West Oz mates John Butler and The Waifs. So after nine years it's time for a sequel.
Acoustic At The Norfolk Volume II is proof of that and as part of it's launch Carus returns to the venues that helped to give him his start and the Republic is definitely one of those, with Tassie audiences having thrown their support behind the troubadour from the get go. Carus will play two sets and copies of the new live album will be available on the night. www.carusthompson.com
