Between April 29th and May 1st, Melbournes Federation Square will play host to Carbon, an event that brings together some of todays most interesting creative minds to present, discuss and share their experiences with local audiences via a series of four discussion forums, each focused on a specific aspect of contemporary street fashion, design and culture.

A Festival of Contemporary Style, Design & Culture

The Carbon discussion forums are: Beyond The Brand; The Art of Building a T-shirt label; Art of Hype (media and communications in the digital age); and Craftsmanship & Imagination.

The first round of confirmed guest speakers includes: Futura; one of the worlds most renowned street and modern artists (NYC), Noah Callahan-Bever; editor in chief of Complex Magazine and complex.com (NYC); Bobby Hundreds; co-founder of one of the most successful independent clothing labels today The Hundreds (LA), Matt Thomas; co-founder of the highly successful Highs And Lows sneaker boutiques (Perth, WA), Frank Liew; owner and founder of internationally renowned boutiques Qubic and Quarters, blogger for hypebeast.com and cultural influencer (Auckland, NZ); Greg Rivera- Founder of highly successful street label Mishka (NYC), Chooee Hwang; Founder of South East Asian culture site and brand promotion company streething.com, Jimmy Bliggs; founder of street label Grand Scheme, Tristan Ceddia; senior graphic designer for Ksubi and co-founder of the Serps collective. Each of these hard working entrepreneurs has had a significant impact on the realms of style, design and culture today.

New Speakers added to the line up: Jonny Goldcoast and Dan Preston from Melbourne label Asuza join Forum A - Beyond The Brand AND Carri Munden from cult UK label Cassette Playa joins Forum B - Building a T-shirt Label.

These speakers will be joined by further creative luminaries, picked for their respective success stories and creative insight.

The Carbon discussion forums will be accompanied by several art and photographic shows and exclusive parties including the official launch party to be held at Federation Squares Atrium on Friday 29th.

All ticket holders will have free entry to the official launch party on Friday 29th (6pm-10pm). Please note that the launch party is a 18+ event.
