With a recording career spanning almost 40 years, BURNT FRIEDMAN has become one of Germany's most established and extolled electronic musicians. 2017 marks the 21st anniversary of Burnt playing in Oz and it's exciting to host him here at the TOFF.

Burnt Friedman consciously distances himself from the traditional formulas of Western European and Anglo-American music to replace them with something broader and more distinct. His dubbed out creations open outwards with continuous motion, his sound defying any attempt to be categorized.

With an upcoming solo LP, 'The Pestle', on Latency Recordings, 2015's Flanger LP 'Lollopy Dripper', and his long standing collaborations with Jaki Leibeziet of CAN and saxophonist Hayden Chisholm, Burnt Friedman is a wellspring of engaging creative talent. Over the years he has developed pioneering electronic-acoustic music and contributed to a universal musical vocabulary.

Burnt Friedman will play the TOFF band room for a summer Sunday evening of singular rhythm and groove.
