2017 is drawing to a close, so it's time to announce the last Dark Beaút of the year!!

We don't know about you, but we're pretty stoked to be closing the year on this sexy, dark note. What better way to open up 2018 with Lightness than to have first rinsed our dark sides in December, eh?

So let's rinse it together so we can bring in an amazing new year filled with brightness and good tings.

Being the last Beaút of the year, we are typically making this the one to remember by bringing in a very, very special act for BEAÚT LIVE.  So, without further ado, we are so pleased to announce that HABITSSPIKE FUCK & her new FML BAND will be our BEAÚT LIVE acts for the final installment of 2017.

If two beings are the embodiment of Dark Beaút, it would be the dark, fierce and alluring duo HABITS. Mohini Hillyer and Maia Connolly explore the nature of ugly, complex feelings through the strength of a thick bass line, emotionally warped lyrics, soaring dual vocals and the catharsis of an inevitable drop.

Habits debut EP, Ugly Cry encased 6 tracks of mind blowing darkwave electronic party jams. Their recent single 'Shame/Desire', described by the act as "an apology for being a piece of human garbage who will never change", is jittery club music unapologetically stuck in fifth gear.

They've have toured with Peaches, supported Juliana Huxtable and Blanck Mass and played the most prestigious boutique festivals in Australia including Dark Mofo, Golden Plains and Sugar Mountain. Beaút welcomes HABITS to steam up the stage at BEAÚT LIVE in closing an incredible 2017, with a most incredible act.

In 2016 SPIKE FUCK gained a cult following with the release of Smackwave, a 4 track EP that was applauded for its honest exploration of love, death, heroin addiction and transness. Her song "GUTS" was voted as Noisey's AUS/NZ number one song of the year, she was flown to LA to be photographed for Rick Owens Spring Summer collection, and supported Cigarettes After Sex in the countryside of Northern Italy. Last month Spike Fuck introduced the world to The FML Band featuring members of Pearls, Hearing, Dave O'Connor Band and White Hex (RIP). The FML debuted at St Paul's Cathedral as part of Melbourne Music Week. Bea t Live marks their second ever public appearance and possibly their only one before Laneway Festival.

We are so so so excited about this one. It will be a guaranteed party from the beginning of the night to the dawn of the new day.

So come down, join us and let's celebrate everything that's been Bea t in 2017, as well as your gloriously raunchy and sizzling darkness. What would Bea t have been without you this year? We shudder to think it. So, it's a time to celebrate you too.
