Baro

Baro is creating some of the smoothest hip hop in Australia right now. Having caught the ear of triple j presenters with his early work Word Smoother, his latest mixtape Howgoodisgood has caused quite a ripple, with many shocked at the maturity, complexity and sophistication of the 17 year olds' viewpoint and slinky beats. Early spins on triple j have followed. Drawn from an Odd Future, Chance the Rapper, MF Doom kind of world, Baro's tunes also hark back to the sound of A Tribe Called Quest - they sound like modern classics. 

YoungstaCpt

Better known by his stage name Youngsta, a twenty-two year old artist who represents skill and a work ethic beyond his years. Although dubbed as Cape Town's hottest new hip-hop force, being recognized was just the beginning for him. As an aspiring artist, he started the songwriting process at the mere age of twelve and recorded his first track that same year. Youngsta spent his teenage years absorbing every aspect of the hip hop industry, which allowed him to formulate his own unique style and incorporate life as he knew it into his lyrics. Drawing inspiration from not just individual artists, but the industry as a whole, his lyrics are fueled with energy, emotion and the elements of life both on and off the Cape Town streets. Youngsta has successfully managed to transform these lyrics into a captivating live performance and a repertoire that commands attention.

Kid Pharaoh

Previously known for his uncanny knack for crafting world class soulful & vintage vibes, 20 year old MC/producer Kid Pharaoh continues to broaden and shift his sounds & cement his place as one to watch in Australia's rapidly rising scene.

Having supported the likes of Seth Sentry & Thundamentals in his hometown of Wollongong, with multiple self-produced albums under his belt with guest features from the likes of L-FRESH & Hau, Kid Pharaoh enters 2017 with a fresh load of music ready to release his 3rd album among a string of other releases.  Pharaoh's "New Dynasty" is only beginning.
