Australia's electronic-pop darlings Bag Raiders return to the live stage this coming May/June to celebrate their new 'Checkmate' EP, with selected shows around the country. Not to be missed!

With chakras aligned, Bag Raiders have released Checkmate, their third and final installment in a series of premium cuts all leading up to the release of their second full-length album this summer.

Checkmate features a triple dose of infectious, radiant electronic pop that dances across the spectrum. Lead single Checkmate features Benjamin Joseph (of Safia fame) - a softly spoken and understated song. The light at the end of the tunnel grows ever bigger as the subtly unfolding arpeggio finally culminates in a kind of quiet, personal triumph. Breakdown highlights the band's new and further evolved sound, moving away from their bashful, club-focused debut into something more dynamic and classically song-based. With the final track, Magic Feel's slick, purple-tinged funk is another unashamedly sunny clutch of their pointed post-pop style.

Bag Raiders enjoyed a rapturous reception to their self-titled debut album in 2010, a gold-certified, ARIA-nominated affair that included slices of euphoria with the smash-hit singles 'Shooting Stars', 'Way Back Home' and 'Sunlight'.

Bag Raiders are currently taking a full live band on the road across an extensive North American tour and will return to Australia in May for a long-awaited National live Tour, playing shows across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra and Adelaide.

This will be the first live tour on home soil since the end of 2011 when the guys wrapped up their debut album tour cycle.
